EXCURSION TO RÍO LAGARTOS & THE PINK FLAMINGOS

Discover one of the most fascinating natural corners of the Yucatán Peninsula. The excursion begins in the picturesque fishing village of Río Lagartos, located within a protected biosphere reserve, famous for its extraordinary biodiversity.

During a boat tour through the mangroves, we'll navigate natural channels where you can observe a wide variety of birds, crocodiles, herons, pelicans, and, of course, the iconic pink flamingos, which find one of Mexico's most important habitats here. The best time to admire them in large colonies is between April and September, although they can be seen for much of the year.

The experience continues with a visit to Las Coloradas, known for its stunning, deep pink lagoons, whose hue is due to the high concentration of salt and microorganisms. This unique landscape offers some of the best photographic opportunities in all of Yucatán.
