Early in the morning, we arrive at a small river port, where our journey continues by motorized canoe deep into the spectacular Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, considered one of the most fascinating and biodiverse regions of the Ecuadorian Amazon. This extraordinary natural sanctuary is home to flooded forests, lagoons, winding jungle rivers and an astonishing variety of plant and animal life.

During the navigation, we immerse ourselves in a world ruled by nature, observing the daily rhythm of the rainforest and enjoying landscapes that remain largely untouched. With a bit of luck, we may spot monkeys, colorful tropical birds, reptiles and many other species inhabiting this natural paradise, regarded as one of the most biodiverse places on Earth.

Upon arrival at the lodge, located in the very heart of the jungle, we settle into our accommodation and enjoy lunch surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon. In the afternoon, we head to one of the reserve’s lagoons to witness one of the most magical moments of the journey: sunset over the Amazon rainforest. Golden reflections on the water, the sounds of wildlife and the vastness of the forest create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

As night falls, we return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening in the middle of the tropical rainforest. Accommodation for three nights in a nature ecolodge with full board.

Day 7: Rainforest Adventure with the Achuar Community

Today we will enjoy an authentic immersion into the Amazon rainforest alongside our Achuar hosts, who will share the ancestral knowledge that has been passed down through generations for centuries. We will learn how to survive in one of the world's most complex ecosystems using only the resources provided by nature.

Throughout the day, we will discover how to navigate the rainforest, identify medicinal plants and edible fruits, recognize potentially dangerous species, and learn traditional techniques for finding water, making fire, and building temporary shelters. Members of the community will also demonstrate how they create hunting and fishing traps, which animals are part of their diet, and how they sustainably use the forest's resources while preserving its delicate natural balance.

We will also gain insight into the Achuar people's profound spiritual connection with the rainforest, which they regard as a living being deserving of respect and protection. For the Achuar, every tree, river, and animal holds a special place within their worldview—a philosophy that has helped preserve this extraordinary territory for countless generations.

This will be a truly unique experience, revealing that the rainforest is far more than a breathtaking landscape: it is a home, a classroom, and a vital source of life for those who have inhabited it since ancient times.
